Maryknoll Speakers Series Goes Creative
Come Hear Julia Cameron, Author of "The Artist's Way", Speak On Taking a Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
Julia Cameron, prolific author best-known for The Artist's Way, will discuss tools that unblock creativity this Sunday when she appears as part of the Maryknoll Speakers Series. "When we are unblocked we can have remarkable and diverse adventures," she says. "Creativity is God's gift to us—using our creativity is our gift back to God."
Cameron's highly praised works, based on her own creative practice, have been translated into more than thirty languages, and are frequently taught in theological as well as arts degree programs. She thinks of herself not as a teacher, but simply as an artist. "Artists have always mentored, I just do it on a wider scale," she says. An award-winning playwright, poet and journalist, Cameron has extensive credits in theatre, film, and television and is certain to deliver a fascinating talk.
